Important: A model/year page is a search aid, not proof that every RV of that model is recalled. Campaign applicability can depend on VIN, build date, chassis, installed equipment or supplier lot. Always verify the exact 17-character VIN with NHTSA or the manufacturer.

How this Ember RV recall index is built

RVVerdicts discovers make, model and model-year combinations from the public NHTSA recall product API and refreshes the catalog automatically. Detail pages then query NHTSA's vehicle recall endpoint for current campaign records. This two-step structure avoids inventing model combinations while keeping the campaign details current when NHTSA updates its database.

Why the manufacturer name may differ from the badge on the RV

Recreational vehicles can involve several legal manufacturers: the RV builder, chassis manufacturer and component suppliers. NHTSA records use the manufacturer and model naming stored in the federal recall system, which may not always match marketing names exactly. RVVerdicts preserves those API values for the live lookup while presenting a cleaner brand label for navigation.

Buying a used Ember RV?

Recall research should be one part of the pre-purchase process. Ask the seller for the VIN, check open campaigns, request repair receipts for completed recalls and compare the campaign's remedy with the service records. A campaign appearing on a model page does not mean the repair is still open on a particular unit, and the absence of a model-level result does not replace a VIN-specific check.
