Why these tools exist

RV decisions often fail at the same point: a specification or price is presented without the rest of the system around it. A tow rating says little about remaining payload. A battery amp-hour number says little about AC runtime. A cheap campground membership says little about break-even nights. Each calculator makes the hidden variable explicit.

Use exact inputs whenever possible

For weight and towing decisions, use labels and actual scale weights from the exact vehicle and trailer. For trip planning, use real loaded fuel economy rather than a brochure number. For electrical calculations, use manufacturer ratings and measured energy use where available. The tools are planning aids and do not override vehicle, component or safety limits.

Transparent formulas

Every calculator shows the core formula or assumptions on its page. That makes the result easier to audit, cite and adapt. If an input changes—fuel price, payload, solar production, battery size or interest rate—you can immediately see how the decision moves.
