RVshare Review: What Renters and RV Owners Should Calculate

RVshare can create value on both sides of the marketplace: renters get access to privately owned RVs, while owners can monetize an asset that otherwise sits unused.

RVVerdicts take: For renters, compare total trip price rather than nightly rate. For owners, compare net rental income with incremental wear, turnover work and the value of keeping the RV available for personal use.

Renters should price the complete trip

Mileage, generator use, delivery, cleaning, protection products and owner-specific rules can change the final economics. Compare listings on a total-trip basis.

Owners should calculate contribution margin

Gross booking revenue is not the same as profit. Subtract platform fees, cleaning, consumables, added maintenance, depreciation from mileage and the value of your time between rentals.

Local demand is the decisive variable

A marketplace can be strong nationally while producing weak economics for a specific RV in a specific city. Study comparable listings, booked calendars and seasonal pricing before building an income forecast.

Compare current options: Pricing, terms and availability can change. Check the official offer before buying.
